Act Up! Newham present a screening of their new film in collaboration with Los Inseparables in Chile

Since the summer Act Up! Newham have been working in collaboration with Los Inseparables in Chile, sharing ideas and sending each other creative responses. This film is a product of that creative relationship!
There will be an exhibition in the bar before the screening to show the process of this collaboration. There will be a presentation after the film and a chance for audience discussion.
Act Up! are very excited to announce that they will be performing Outside the Box again at the Official opening of the Together! 2012 Disability History Month Festival.
This is a great chance for those of you who were unable to come in March. There are also new scenes and a new actor included!

Act Up! Newham presents OUTSIDE THE BOX at 7pn on Friday 11th March . Act Up! Newham's new play is devised from the actors own experiences. Together they explore their dreams and desires for the future. After the interval a performance by singer/activist Dennis Queen. It will be a great evening! Hope to see you there!
Act Up! Newham were proud to be invited to perform 'Dangerous Assumptions' at the 25th birthday of the Alliance of Inclusive Education for an audience of about 60 people.
We had great responses from the audience.
'You all were fabulous! Great humourours piece, and you all knew your lines really well! Loved the way that you based it on intergration and segratation, the differences between the two. Loved the stern teacher leading Jill the schoolgirl away and the two pupils that were funny at each end who had no clue about what Jill the schoolgirl could do but they were great all of the group! Nice acting everyone!'

During our 3 days summer intensive project the Act Uppers have created a new show for the Liberty Festival 2015 based on a letter to David Cameron! Each actor created their own monologue to David Cameron and they devised a 15 minute performance around this.
Act Up performed amazingly despite very difficult conditions and are keen to take 'Dear Mr Cameron' to other venues and events.
On 20th February Act Up! Newham premiered their new production 'Dangerous Assumptions' at Stratford Circus. It was a highly successful evening. We had an audience of 50 who were extremely enthusiastic about the show. One audience member said 'The story the actors and the direction was really very good. I was amazed how quick the time passed.'
